Clay Sanchez

Clay SanchezThe 10th of 13 children, Clay Sanchez came into this world in the Panhandle of Texas and was named after the boxer Cassius Clay by his father’s best friend who loved boxing.

Clay is a Title Examiner at Edwards Abstract and Title Co., where he has been employed for 30 years. He began his career as a runner for the company, then spent a few years as an Abstractor. But he found that working as an Examiner was what he enjoyed most. Every day brings a new challenge he’s eager to take on and new things to learn.

The humble man with an easy smile is reluctant to sing his own praises, preferring instead to compliment his boss for sharing his knowledge. Clay was recently honored for his 30 years of service to the company and for “being diligent and dedicated in his work, humble, and a good friend.” Spend five minutes with Clay, and you’ll know those are an accurate description of the man.

In his free time, Clay enjoys golfing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He attends their games when he can and wears the blue and silver with pride.

Of his three decades at Edwards, Clay said, “I do the best I can, and I want to do it well, which is why I think I’ve lasted for 30 years.” It’s clear why Clay has stayed in the ring for so long.
