Marilyn De Luna has many talents and attributes that have enhanced her opportunities for growth and development while working at Edwards Abstract and Title Co. She is a Valley native with experience in the title insurance industry since 1984. She started her career in the title insurance industry in Houston and joined Edwards Abstract and Title Co. 1999 in McAllen. During her career with Edwards, she has been a leader of the company having served as Office Manager for the McAllen, Weslaco and Sharyland Plantation offices. Marilyn has made a vital contribution to Edwards Abstract and Title Co. as her former role as the Regional Escrow Automation Manager. Her ability to prepare and present internal employee training and external customer training via specialized customized programs has been an asset to customers and the Edwards Team. As a result of her exemplary skills, Marilyn was promoted as Vice President and Director of Education and Training in April, 2015 and is housed at the Edinburg Corporate Office. According to the Texas Land Title Association, Marilyn is the first Escrow Officer in the State of Texas who has earned three prestigious certification designations. She has tested and passed three rigorous exams to earn each certification. In April, 2012 Marilyn earned the professional credential CESP, Certified Escrow Settlement Professional. in 2013, she earned the Certified Title Insurance Professional (CTIP) and in 2014 she earned the Certified Abstract Examiner Professional (CAEP). Marilyn is the first Escrow Officer in the history of Edwards Abstract and Title Co. to earn the three certifications. In 2017, she took her knowledge and experience to a higher level, and tested for the National Title Professional designation that she completed successfully. In a press release submitted by the American Land Title Association, they wrote the following: Marilyn De Luna has been awarded aNational Title Professional (NTP) designation from the American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry. De Luna is the fourth NTP designee from Texas and joins more than 80 other industry leaders from around the United States who have earned the professional designation. The designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.* Marilyn has extensive experience handling residential resale, construction, refinance and all types of commercial transactions. Her dedication and commitment to excellence has allowed Marilyn to work with many leading realtors, real estate attorneys, commercial and residential lenders, developers and investors. She makes time to represent Edwards as an affiliate member of the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors, Women’s Council of Realtors and RGV Builders Association. Marilyn is a member of the Edwards Abstract and Title Co. Management Team.
